Fernando Sosa brings a wealth of experience delivering complex industrial projects at pace and at scale. Most recently at Novo Energy, he oversaw EPC execution for their first-of-a-kind facility, a 120-person operation that delivered outside battery limits infrastructure at 50% below typical FOAK cost benchmarks. Crucially, this was not his first exposure to such builds.

At Tesla, Fernando spent six years scaling first-of-a-kind manufacturing including the Reno gigafactory, and developing the hands-on experience required to complete first-of-a-kind projects successfully. Fernando began his career with a decade at Fluor, one of the world's largest and most esteemed engineering and construction firms, grounding his approach in rigorous project governance and large-scale EPC delivery.

Beyond engineering delivery, Fernando brings a philosophy of community-first deployment. His approach integrates stakeholder engagement and local ecosystem integration into the project programme from day one, not as an afterthought once construction begins. This mirrors the approach that worked for Paebbl's Rotterdam R&D centre, where integration into the Rotterdam innovation ecosystem remains a key factor in the success of our scale-up to date.

Fernando has been advising Paebbl on FOAK strategy previously, supporting the team with site selection, and eventually laying the foundations for programme structure, and engineering milestones. His appointment to the executive team as a full-time leader reflects our commitment to building a world-class execution team that is equipped to meet the challenges of an industrial scale-up project.
